Almost Heaven BBQ Bash

About

Held each June in downtown Buckhannon, Almost Heaven BBQ Bash is West Virginia's largest KCBS-sanctioned BBQ competition, drawing nearly three dozen teams from 16 states competing in a four-meat category. Beyond the competition, the festival features food vendors serving award-winning BBQ, pizza, funnel cake, WV pepperoni rolls, and more — plus artists and crafters selling hand-crafted jewelry, soaps, wood items, and homemade goods. Family activities include free sand art, balloon sculptures, Lego building contests and workshops, live music, and falconry demonstrations. Voted one of the top 25 BBQ events in the US.
