Athens Street Festival

About

Held each July in Athens, a historic Hudson River village, this long-running festival is much anticipated by residents and surrounding communities. The festival runs from the lower end of 2nd Street down to Riverfront Park, featuring vendors, music, food trucks, and local community groups. The event ends with a spectacular fireworks display launched right on the river. Food vendors must provide a New York State Department of Health Certificate and proof of insurance; no DOH permit means rejection. Electricity is available in the park only; some 220-volt panels may be 60+ feet away. No electricity on Second Street or Water Street—bring your own wiring.
