Bear on the Square Mountain Festival

About

Held each April in Dahlonega, Bear on the Square Mountain Festival celebrates Appalachian culture with 70+ juried artist booths surrounding the historic square — textiles, pottery, woodworking, and traditional crafts. The festival runs free, supported by sponsors and 100+ volunteers. Expect live bluegrass and old-time music all weekend, plus professional storytellers carrying forward Appalachian traditions.
