Cedar Key Seafood Festival

About

The 54th Cedar Key Lions Seafood Festival runs in October in this historic Gulf Coast island town. Over 100 arts and crafts vendors line 2nd Street, while local food booths operate in the scenic beachfront park. All food is prepared by Cedar Key watermen, women, and local cooks for church groups, school clubs, and other nonprofits as a major fundraiser —no food trucks. Saturday features a parade; live music and entertainment happen throughout the event. Cedar Key has fewer than 1,000 permanent residents, but tens of thousands visit for the event, so expect crowds and plan accordingly.
