In its 30th year, the Charles Dickens Festival transforms Port Jefferson into a living Dickens stage with street characters, theatrical performances, carolers, and two parades — the Grand East Main Street Opening on Saturday morning and Pickwick's Puppet Parade on Sunday evening. Hailed as Long Island's Best Annual Event for five years, the festival draws visitors from across the Northeast and internationally. Vendors can expect strong foot traffic from holiday shoppers, Dickensian-themed dining, and the full village as backdrop.
