Chestertown Tea Party Festival

Chestertown, Maryland

About

Held each May in historic Chestertown, the Chestertown Tea Party Festival centers on a reenactment of the 1774 tea toss—residents marched cargo overboard from a ship anchored in the Chester River. The festival draws roughly 15,000 visitors for colonial parades, walking tours, live demonstrations of period crafts, a block party, beer fest, raft race, and 100+ artisan vendors selling handcrafted goods along High and Cross Streets. Free admission; no dogs permitted.
