Core Sound Decoy Festival

About

Held each December on Harkers Island, Core Sound Decoy Festival has been running since 1988 and draws decoy carvers, vendors, and enthusiasts for a weekend celebrating the region's working-decoy heritage. Expect antique decoy exhibits, carving competitions, retriever demonstrations, whittling, and plenty of vendor booths. Food is provided by local volunteers and school staff.
