Festival
Cowboy Days (New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum)
Las Cruces, New Mexico
About
Held in Las Cruces at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, Cowboy Days is now in its 22nd year—a two-day Western heritage festival built around living history demonstrations, livestock programs, and family activities. Friday features museum galleries with historical characters (Buckshot Roberts, Fray Lorenzo, rancher Charles Martin, and others) plus a presentation on Billy the Kid's trial. Saturday is the vendor-heavy day: demonstrations include blacksmithing, horseshoeing, wool spinning, sheep shearing, and herding dogs; livestock programs showcase seven beef cattle breeds; live music and line dancing fill the courtyard; food trucks operate south of the Bruce King Building. Strong foot traffic from families and heritage enthusiasts drawn to hands-on activities and educational programming.
