Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands — October

Held in downtown Asheville, Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands runs twice yearly (July and October) and draws 11,000 visitors over four days. Over 100 juried artists exhibit across 12 media—clay, fiber, wood, metal, glass, jewelry, paper, leather, natural materials, and more. Expect live craft demonstrations all four days, live music (October dates TBA), and a strong foot-traffic base of serious craft buyers. The fair invests nearly a million dollars in craft purchases annually. Now in its 79th year, presented by the Southern Highland Craft Guild.
