David Crockett Days

Held each August in Lawrenceburg at David Crockett State Park, David Crockett Days is the 42nd annual celebration of frontier life and Davy's birthday. Run by the Davy Crockett Longhunters since 1982, the event features primitive demonstrations and workshops—fire starting, tomahawk throwing, spinning, cooking—plus novelty shooting and throwing competitions, craft demonstrators, and activities for kids. Vendors dress in period clothing and camp primitively on-site.
