Downtown Toms River runs a packed annual calendar of street festivals on Washington Street, drawing thousands of visitors throughout the year. The lineup includes Irish & Cinco de Mayo festivals in spring, Summer in the Street and Comfort Food Festival in summer and fall, Harvest Arts Festival in October, and Winter Wonderland in December — plus a weekly farmers market (Wednesdays, June–October) and bimonthly Cruising Downtown events. Each festival features food vendors, merchandise, handcrafted goods, live entertainment, a beer and wine garden, and kids' activities. Downtown businesses stay open during events. New vendors can apply for a single event or multiple festivals; attending all three street festivals with full payment earns a 10% discount. Vendors must supply their own tent, tables, and signage; no electricity available. Food vendors must comply with Ocean County Board of Health regulations and obtain fire permits if cooking with open flame or propane. Certificate of insurance ($500,000 minimum liability) required.
