East Maui Taro Festival

About

Held in Hana each April, the East Maui Taro Festival celebrates kalo (taro) farming heritage and Hawaiian culture across Maui. The signature event features the Queen's Challenge competition honoring Queen Emma and showcasing the skills of local kalo farmers. Vendor booths, food, and cultural programming draw an established island audience.
