Eastern Market Flower Day

Detroit, Michigan

About

Held each May in downtown Detroit, Flower Day is an over 60-year tradition featuring the Metro Detroit Flower Growers Association vendors from all over the Midwest. Flower Day draws 160+ vendors filling the sheds and streets— offering hanging baskets, perennials, herbs, vegetable seedlings, container arrangements, garden soil, and specialty plants. Many of the families and farms vending have been showing up year after year for decades. The annual event draws tens of thousands of people, and includes live music and food options. Smaller crowds and easier parking are available during four Flower Tuesday markets in May in Sheds 5 and 6.
