About

Presented by the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce, the Cherokee Strip Festival features vendor booths held each September in downtown Enid on the courthouse lawn. The celebration marks the anniversary of the Cherokee Strip Land Run, which opened Northwest Oklahoma to settlement, on Sept. 16, 1893. Food vendors offer Indian tacos, pizza, hot dogs, Mexican food, ice cream and other frozen treats, alongside a parade and kids' activities. Community-focused event with steady foot traffic.
