Festival
Florida Forest Festival
Perry, Florida
About
Running since 1955 in Perry, the Florida Forest Festival has grown into one of the state's oldest celebrations of forestry heritage. Taylor County holds the "Tree Capital of the South" distinction. The festival promotes the benefits of Florida's forests and celebrates those who work in them as well as those who protect them. Held each October at Forest Capital State Park, the festival draws thousands with lumberjack competitions, the world's largest free fish fry, the King Tree Parade, live entertainment, and a strong vendor village. Expect day-long live musical entertainment and arts and crafts.
