Florida Seafood Festival

About

Held annually at Battery Park in downtown Apalachicola, at the mouth of the Apalachicola River under the shady oaks, this two-day event draws tens of thousands of visitors to the oldest seafood festival in the state. The festival features delicious seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, and musical entertainment. Notable events include Oyster Eating and Oyster Shucking contests, Blue Crab Races, Photo Contest, Parade, 5K Redfish Run, The Blessing of the Fleet, History of the Festival Exhibit and Tonging For Treasure. Draws established customers in a prime waterfront setting.
