GermanFest (Fort Wayne)

Held each June in Fort Wayne's Headwaters Park East, GermanFest is the 45th edition of a festival founded in 1981 to celebrate the city's deep German heritage—now one of Northeast Indiana's largest. Tens of thousands gather for four days of authentic German food, beer, music, polka performances, and games. The festival is organized by four local German-American clubs: Fort Wayne Maennerchor/Damenchor, Fort Wayne Sport Club, German Heritage Society, and Fort Wayne Turners. Saturday includes FamilienFest, a family-oriented day with free kid activities.
