Gila Valley Independence Day Celebration

About

Gila Valley 250 is an unprecedented, valley-wide celebration coordinated by Graham County, local municipalities, and community sponsors to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence. Activities take place in Safford, Thatcher, and Pima throughout the day. The main Fourth of July Parade, sponsored by the Safford Lions Club, travels east on Main Street with awards for most patriotic, most creative, best use of theme, and best youth entry. Graham County hosts an evening of music and fireworks at Graham County Fairgrounds with food trucks on site and free Popsicles distributed.
