Great American Market

About

Held in downtown Emporia each September, this annual market gathers artists and food vendors spanning over six city blocks and side streets. The event typically draws around 200 vendors selling antiques and collectibles, handmade crafts, resin art, and crochet items, plus clothes, jewelry, plants, records, seasonings and spices. Food trucks offer tacos, burgers, sweet treats, and more. The market has run consistently on the second Saturday for the last twenty years, building a healthy turnout of vendors from the local community, across Kansas, and neighboring states. Limited electricity is available first-come, first-served. Vendors must report sales to the State of Kansas.
