Haynes Apperson Festival

About

Held in Kokomo at Foster Park each June, the Haynes Apperson Festival is marking its 50th anniversary in 2026 with carnival rides, food vendors, a car show, a parade, free live concerts, and a sports festival spanning karate, 3-on-3 basketball, canoeing, tennis, volleyball, and cornhole. The festival celebrates Kokomo's automotive heritage tied to pioneers Elwood Haynes and the Apperson brothers, whose early 1890s innovations shaped American auto manufacturing. Craft and non-food vendors welcome.
