Helvetia Community Fair

About

Held in Helvetia, WV, a small Swiss community located in Randolph County, the Helvetia Community Fair is one of the oldest agricultural fairs in West Virginia, running since 1917. Held the second full weekend in September, this is a homecoming and harvest festival for residents who have moved away from the village to reconnect with friends and family. Expect a parade, Swiss folk dancing, Fahnenschwingen (Swiss flag swinging), alphorn playing, yodeling, field games, arts and crafts, and a square dance —plus local vendors selling homemade cheeses, honey, and maple syrup.
