Held each August in Frankfort, Herkimer County Fair is a six-day agricultural event with roots back to 1841—now a fixture since moving to its permanent Cemetery Hill Street site in 1958. Expect livestock shows (beef, dairy, sheep, goats, swine), youth 4-H competitions, demolition derbies, horse shows, and tractor pulls alongside a robust vendor mix: local farmers, bakers, craft artisans including jewelry makers, antiques dealers, and food concessionaires.
