Independence Sicilian Heritage Festival

About

Held each March in downtown Independence, the Independence Sicilian Heritage Festival celebrates the Sicilian heritage of families who settled in Tangipahoa Parish. Arts & Crafts vendors must sell hand-crafted items or items of artistic value. The festival draws crowds for a spaghetti cook-off, meatball toss competition, live music, carnival rides, and food vendors selling Sicilian and Louisiana cuisine.
