Lenexa Chili Challenge

About

Held in Old Town Lenexa in early October, the 38th annual Lenexa Chili Challenge draws nearly 200 competing teams across traditional chili, homestyle chili, wings, and salsa categories. Friday night features live music and family activities; Saturday opens to the public for free samples from teams (while supplies last), plus a Kids Kornbread Contest, live music, face painting, and balloon art. Strong foot traffic and an established crowd — solid draw if you're selling food, beverages, or kid-focused novelties.
