Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival

Cameron, Louisiana

About

Held in Cameron each January, Louisiana Fur & Wildlife Festival is one of the oldest festivals in the state and honors a different local industry each year—crabbing, cattle, energy, shrimping, hunting & wildlife, fur & alligator, oysters, and fishing. The festival grounds host craft and food booths, plus a full slate of competitions: trap shooting, gumbo cook-offs, oyster shucking, duck and goose calling, and dog trials. Expect a parade, pageants, live entertainment, and an authentic taste of Louisiana's working coast.
