Magdalena Frontier Festival

About

Held each June in Magdalena, the Frontier Festival celebrates the region's Wild West heritage, mining history, and cultural traditions with a parade led by Smokey Bear, mock gunfighter skits, mutton busting, Zuni Pueblo dancers, and historic exhibits. The day spans Main Street and the rodeo grounds and is entirely free. Vendors include artisans, local businesses, and food vendors alongside educational displays from New Mexico Tech, the U.S. Forest Service, and other regional organizations. Well-established community event drawing strong local participation.
