Maine Whoopie Pie Festival

Running since 2009 at Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds in Dover-Foxcroft, the Maine Whoopie Pie Festival draws over 100 vendors — bakers competing with creative whoopie pie flavors, plus arts, crafts, and food vendors. Attendees sample from more than 100 whoopie pie varieties (using tokens exchanged in the baker area), compete in eating contests, listen to live music, and browse local artisans. The festival is the largest annual event in Piscataquis County and attracts shoppers intentionally seeking authentic Maine food culture — a strong fit for vendors selling specialty foods, local crafts, and regional products.
