Moore County Farmers Market operates two weekly markets in Southern Pines — Thursdays year-round at the Armory Sports Complex (9am–12:30pm) and Saturdays downtown March through November (8am–noon). Both enforce strict producer-only status: vendors must source from within a 50-mile radius. The market has run since 1976 and has been voted Best Farmers Market in the Pilot's annual Best of the Pines contest multiple times. Saturday markets feature live music (weather permitting) and complementary samples prepared by local chefs using market produce.
