Mule Day Festival
Washington, Georgia
About
In Washington, Georgia, Mule Day celebrates the heritage skills and crafts of early 1800s rural farm life — and honors the original tractor, the mule. Now in its 43rd year, the festival at Callaway Plantation features mule demonstrations, sheep dog herding, live music, blacksmithing, woodwork, quilting, art & craft vendors, and food trucks. Wilkes County once had over 9,000 mules; this event draws people who care about that history.
