Held in Crisfield, Maryland—the self-proclaimed Crab Capital of the World—the National Hard Crab Derby is a Labor Day weekend homecoming festival celebrating the watermen and traditions of the Chesapeake Bay. Expect crab races, picking and cooking contests, a boat-docking competition between crab boat captains, a crustacean beauty pageant, and vendor fair. Draws crowds from across the nation.
