Native Art Market

About

Founded and curated by Dakota Mace and Paige Skenandore, the Native Art Market takes place at Arts + Literature Laboratory in Madison each November. 40+ Native artists share and sell their work throughout the galleries and education studio, featuring Indigenous beadwork, quillwork, weaving, leather work, metals, basketry, clothing, and more. There is no cost to apply and no booth fees; selected artists receive a modest stipend and opportunities for paid demonstrations and workshops. Participation is only open to enrolled members of federal or state recognized tribes, with priority given to local and regional artists.
