Newport Oyster & Chowder Festival

Held in May at Newport's historic Bowen's Wharf, the 10th annual Newport Oyster & Chowder Festival is a free two-day event showcasing Rhode Island's oyster farms and favorite restaurants. Taste freshly-shucked oysters and award-winning chowders from a curated lineup, live music throughout both days, signature cocktails, and a lively open-air atmosphere under striped tents. All food and drink sold directly by vendors.
