Held in Newport, the 48th annual Pig Cookin' Contest is the USA's largest all-volunteer, nonprofit whole-hog BBQ competition — running since 1978 and having donated over $1 million to local charities. Two days of barbecue, live music, concessions, bake sales, and an Arts & Crafts Show. Limited to 65 cooking teams; expect strong foot traffic and a crowd focused on competition, food, and community fundraising.
