Orono Farmers' Market

Held in Orono, the Orono Farmers' Market is one of Maine's larger markets with over thirty members offering a wide range of locally produced foods on Saturday mornings and Tuesday afternoons, open rain or shine. All goods offered for sale must be produced by the vendor's own effort—resale is not allowed. The year-round market offers fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables, eggs, beef, pork, seafood, milk, cheese, cut flowers, maple products, baked items, preserved goods, and made-to-serve food items. The summer market is at the University of Maine Steam Plant Parking Lot on College Avenue, located between College Avenue and the Stillwater River, less than a mile north of downtown Orono. The winter market moves indoors to the Asa Adams School.
