Running since 1938, the Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival in Wellsboro is a week-long mid-June celebration centered on the blooming of Pennsylvania's state flower. The juried arts and crafts fair is one component of a larger festival that includes a two-hour parade, queen's pageant, pet parade, concerts, and family programming. The parade draws high school bands, drum corps, floats, and units from across Pennsylvania and neighboring New York.
