Panhandle Watermelon Festival

About

The 70th Annual Panhandle Watermelon Festival in Chipley runs each late June as a free festival. Friday features live country music at Jim Trawick Park, while Saturday brings arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, an antique car show, watermelon auction, and a parade through downtown Chipley. The festival has grown from about 100 attendees at its inception in 1956 to more than 5,000 by 2015.
