Patuxent River Appreciation Days (PRAD)

Running since 1978, Patuxent River Appreciation Day (PRAD) is held in October at the Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons. The free event features live music, food and drink vendors, makers of homespun goods, free boat rides, toy boat building, and displays celebrating the Patuxent River. Vendors should not sell mass-produced items; PRAD seeks homegrown vegetables, meats, cheese, soaps, and handmade crafts. Established fall tradition with strong community backing and stable annual attendance.
