In May, Bethany Beach hosts the Poseidon Festival—a 10th-anniversary celebration during Memorial Day weekend featuring live music, food vendors, craft vendors, and maritime-themed entertainment including pirates, mermaids, and marine science programming. The multi-day event emphasizes coastal awareness and emergency preparedness. All events are free and take place on the beach, bandstand, and plaza throughout town.
