Richmond Mushroom Festival

About

In downtown Richmond, held in honor of the town's title as 'Mushroom Capital of the World', the 45th Annual Mushroom Festival is hosted at the historic Farris Theatre. The festival features a variety of food, craft, and art vendors, along with a car show, tractor show, sidewalk chalk art contest, 5K run, the Mr. and Ms. Mushroom contest, and the Evans Midland Carnival. Proceeds support Friends of the Farris, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and renovating the historic Farris Theatre and the Farris Arts District.
