Rosendale International Pickle Festival

In its 29th year, Rosendale International Pickle Festival is held each October at Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz. The festival takes a curated, competitive approach to vendor selection — priority goes to handmade, local, or unique items, and similar vendor applications compete on quality and originality. Over-saturated categories close once capacity is reached. All vendors should sell something pickle-related, flavored, or dress like a pickle. No loud music, no pets, no politicking (the festival reserves the right to remove products tied to violence, discrimination, vulgarity, or political campaigns). Food vendors preparing on-premises must obtain an Ulster County Health Permit and provide three certificates of insurance. Vendors must bring adequate staff — if customers wait more than 10 minutes, you're understaffed. Rain or shine, no cancellations. Check-in at 7 a.m.; setup must be complete by 9 a.m. Do not pack up before 5 p.m.
