About
Held each early August in Ninilchik at the Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds, Salmonfest is a not-for-profit three-day festival featuring over 60 bands playing across four stages alongside a diverse vendor mix — local food purveyors (seafood, Thai, Indian, barbecue, gourmet sandwiches), craft artisans, breweries, and educational nonprofits in the Salmon Causeway. Founded in 2011, proceeds benefit Bristol Bay salmon conservation and critical Alaskan watersheds.
