Scandinavian Heritage Festival

Ephraim, Utah

About

Running for over 50 years, the Scandinavian Heritage Festival draws nearly 20,000 visitors to Ephraim on Memorial Day weekend. The event blends cultural heritage programming — Viking Village with hands-on crafts (archery, nalbinding, wool spinning, leather work, wood carving), Pioneer Village activities, storytelling, folk dancing, and a parade — with 100+ craft vendors and 35+ food booths. Two stages of live music, a quilt show, chalk art festival, and wife-carrying competition round out the weekend. Strong foot traffic from established crowds seeking Nordic and pioneer heritage experiences.
