Sustainable Food Center operates two producer-only farmers' markets in Austin—one downtown since 2003, and one in south Austin since 2010. Every Saturday year-round, rain or shine, vendors bring locally sourced produce, dairy, protein, value-added goods, and artisan products. SFC personally vets each farm and ranch for ethical and sustainable practices. Both markets accept SNAP Lone Star and WIC benefits, and Double Up Food Bucks Texas doubles these benefits up to $30 weekly. Staff provide onboarding and onsite support; expect established crowds committed to buying local.
