Smith County Fair

Smith County Fair, held each late June/early July in Carthage, is a "Fair on the River" county fair featuring livestock shows (sheep, beef, hog, poultry, meat goats), equipment and antique tractor displays, demolition derbies, four-wheeler competitions, live music stages, and a carnival. Daily cash giveaways throughout the week, plus a fireworks display. Livestock exhibitors encouraged to participate in America 250 patriotic showcase themes.
