Smoke on the Water Festival

The 28th Annual Smoke on the Water Festival returns to downtown Washington in mid-October for two days of award-winning barbecue, homemade chili, live music, and family activities along the scenic Pamlico River. With 30+ pig cookers competing and a strong local crowd, this is a well-established event that draws thousands. Proceeds benefit Washington Noon Rotary.
