Soldotna Progress Days

About

Soldotna Progress Days runs the fourth week of July, with events from Thursday through Saturday and a lead-in at the Wednesday Market. Vendors sell food and crafts drawn from across Alaska, alongside live music Thursday and Friday nights, a Saturday parade, a rodeo, a car show, a community BBQ, a Dutch oven cooking contest, and family activities including a petting zoo and pony rides. The celebration has run for over 60 years, marking the population boom that followed the Swanson River oil discovery.
