About
Held in Haines each July, the Southeast Alaska State Fair showcases logging competitions, fishing contests, wearable art, and a strong vendor mix — food court concessions, craft and art booths, jewelry, clothing, and nonprofit/business information booths. Food vendors face competitive selection (20 concessions available) but get high foot traffic; the Fair enforces a non-compete clause on menus to ensure variety. Non-food vendors choose from enclosed C booths with electricity and lockable doors, H booths along the Exhibit Hall, or 10×10 at-large tent spaces scattered across the grounds. Returning vendors get right of return to their former booths if in good standing.
