State Fair of West Virginia

Held annually in mid-August in Lewisburg, the State Fair of West Virginia is West Virginia's official state fair with roots running back to 1854. An average of 160,000 people visit the fair annually. The fair operates a large open park for carnivals and exhibition, grandstands, and several exhibition buildings and features livestock competitions, agricultural exhibits, and heavy entertainment programming. Applications are required of all vendors, and preference is given to applicants who previously participated successfully at the state fair; the fair typically receives more inquiries than it can accommodate, with openings being very competitive. Vendors must commit to the full 10-day run. Booth spaces are 10 x 10 with electrical service to each booth.
