Talkeetna Art Festival

About

The Talkeetna Art Festival runs Memorial Day weekend in downtown Talkeetna, now in its fifth year. Over 50 Alaskan artisan vendors sell alongside two music stages outside the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar, with more than a dozen bands across the weekend, a second stage for local youth and emerging singer-songwriters, hands-on art workshops, and aerialist performances. The festival has expanded onto the Talkeetna Historical Society grounds. Memorial Day weekend is the opening of Talkeetna's summer season, so the crowd blends locals with the first wave of Denali-bound visitors.
