About

Held in Tallulah each October, Teddy's Bearfest is a historical celebration commemorating President Theodore Roosevelt's 1907 hunting expedition in Madison Parish. The festival spans the Madison Parish Courthouse area and both sides of Depot Street, with food vendors, crafts, retail, boutique, and artisan vendors. Features include Battle of the Bayou Pitmasters competition, arm wrestling, entertainment, kid zone, comedy show, and street dance. Future Founders Corner offers youth (ages 8–17) a chance to run their own booth selling handmade goods.
